GOLF SAVINGS BANK’S BOISE MORTGAGE DIVISION HAS IMMEDIATE OPENINGS FOR EXPERIENCED LOAN OFFICERS

Summary:
Originates, examines, evaluates, and authorizes or recommends approval of customer applications for lines of credit and/or real estate loans.

Supervisory Responsibilities:
May supervise a Loan Officer Assistant as assigned. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
May supervise a Loan Officer Assistant as assigned. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems

  1. Originates, reviews, processes, closes and administers loan proposals
  2. Interviews applicants and requests specified information for loan applications
  3. Analyzes applicant financial status, credit, and property evaluation to determine feasibility of granting loan or submits application to processor and/or underwriting for verification and recommendation
  4. Corresponds with or interviews applicants to resolve questions regarding application information
  5. Inputs loan application information into LOS and ensures all is complete and accurate according to policy
  6. Responsible for rate locks, issuance of disclosures, overage/underage and fee waivers
  7. Confers with underwriter to aid in resolving mortgage application problems
  8. Coordinates closings with escrow company
  9. Performs business development activities to increase reoccurring production including: maintenance of a client database, client and customer calling and monitoring efforts and additional activities as proposed by management
  10. Analyzes potential loan markets to develop prospects for new loans
  11. Help define existing and develop new loan products to allow improved profitability and sales execution
  12. Other related duties as assigned

Skills Required:
  • A high level of interpersonal and sales skills
  • Strong Analytical ability with ability to analyze, understand and articulate complex loan programs
  • Self-motivational skills and ability to work in production oriented position
  • Must be able to handle pressure situations and meet deadlines

Knowledge Required:
  • A high school diploma or equivalent
  • Experience in mortgage lending functions to gain a thorough understanding of the requirements of the loan programs
  • Related real estate finance courses
  • Processing and closing experience desired
  • Must be service-oriented
