IMMEDIATE OPENING: Funding Specialist

Location:  Administration Office - Mountlake Terrace, WA

Summary:  Approves or denies mortgage loans for release of loan closing funds.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

1. Maintains comprehensive knowledge of Golf Savings Bank's loan programs, procedures, lending guidelines, and technological resources.
2. Coordinates loan fundings with the closing agent.
3. Reviews signed loan documents for accuracy and correctness.
4. Orders loan funds and coordinates distribution of proceeds via wire.
5. Verifies loan fees and charges.
6. Reviews closing statement (HUD-1) for accuracy and correctness.
7. Receives reviews, and signs off closing conditions.
8. Enters appropriate closing information into LOS (wire information, closing date, etc.).
9. Sends notification of loan funding to branch via e-mail.
10. Resolves funding deficiencies.
11. Other related duties as assigned.

7. Excellent planning and problem solving skills.

Knowledge Required:

1. High school diploma or equivalent.
2. Bachelor's degree (B. A.) from four-year College or university; or one to two years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience helpful.
3. Preferred one-year experience in a wholesale or correspondent lending environment and a working knowledge of mortgage banking as it relates to credit and loan processing.
4. Two-years mortgage funding experience.
5. Good software skills and knowledge of e-mail, Internet, and MS Word.
6. "Processing" experience required
